It was a blue breezy day at Orlando but it didn’t stay for long as a man named Omar Mateen open fired in a Gay club named Pulse Nightclub at about 2AM at night with a rifle and a handgun leaving the country aghast. It was a massacre which was recorded the worst mass killing shooting in the history of the United states. According to sources, about three hundred people were present in the club when the gunman entered the club.
It’s believed that the gunman called 911 before carrying out the attack stating the loyalty to ISIS. He was also investigated twice by the federal authorities for the comments he made on social media about terrorism. About 50 people were killed and 50 others were reported wounded in this horrific incident. The people who were killed were all 20 to 36 years old. The gunman had all the legal licenses needed to buy arms and all the arms were purchased legally just before the week of the attack.
The whole country mourned about the incident including the President of Unites States. Barack Obama called the attack “an act of terror and hate”.
It took 11 police officers and 3 Orange County Sheriff’s deputies risking their lives to bring down the cruel inhuman gunman at around 5AM ending the horrific incident that put the word into a state of shock.
FBI evidence took the matter into hands and arrived at Omar’s home that had been evacuated, as reported by FBI. They took their time in observing and investigating in case Mateen had set up any devices in his home, but not a single device was found and residents were allowed to go home just after midnight.
When the NBC news talked to the gunman’s father Seddique Mir Mateen, he told “this has nothing to do with religion” despite of reports that his son has declared his loyalty to ISIS. A law enforcement official told NBC that there were no proofs of Omar Mateen connected with ISIS of any sorts and nothing to indicate that this was a pre-planned directed attack. His father also told that Omar Mateen lost his mind when he saw two men kissing in Miami a few months ago and that the father thought this may be the reason for the shooting. Seddique Mir Mateen also apologized by saying “We are apologizing for the whole incident. We weren’t aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock, like the whole country.”
