How to Access Banned Torrent Websites?

So, the internet is going crazy about the latest shutdown of the largest metasearch engine, Torrentz alongside Kickass Torrents after the US Department of Justice arrested the site’s founder Artem Vaulin in Poland and seized the site’s domains. But what some people are assuming is that the torrent is no more and they are all wrong.

What is Torrent?

Let me make it clear, torrent is not dead, people. It can never be. Torrent is essentially a protocol that helps users to share their data with others over the internet within no time. A torrent works under the influence of peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing mechanism. One of the common misconceptions is that torrent is a software or a virtual private network (VPN). Both these perceptions are wrong.

And Torrentz is not torrent. But in fact, Torrentz is a search engine of the torrent links available at a number of websites in the world. So, learn the difference between the name with the -z and without the -z. Torrentz is like the Google of torrent and nothing more.

How can you still access torrents?

What if Google shuts down? Would you declare ‘internet’ dead? Won’t you access Facebook without it? You’d simply access it by going to Won’t you? Do that same thing right now.

Access the torrent for free by ‘directly’ downloading the links without going through a search engine like Torrentz. Which is in the sense, do not go the URLs which redirect you to a page, but instead access it directly.

But the problem is that many ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have taken strict actions against the website which contain the torrent links. To bypass this issue, there’s this 2 minute work you will have to do:

Use a VPN. For the people who don’t know what a VPN is, VPN which stands for Virtual Private Network is a private network that extends across a public network or internet. It enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. At the moment, all you need to know about it is that it changes your device’s location and hides its identity.

For Chrome users

Download any VPN from the chrome app store. Dot VPN, Zenmate VPN or Betternet would do.

For Firefox users

Download any VPN from the Add-ons for Firefox. Zenmate, Nolimit VPN, Betternet are some of the examples.

For Opera & other browsers

The Add-ons are available for every browser, and Dot VPN, Betternet are some of the VPNs which are easily available so there’s nothing much in it.

For Android users

Similarly, Android users may download the apps from play store like SuperVPN, Droidnet, Psiphon, etc.

Any simple VPN which works fine would do, there’s no special super modified app, and every app is just the same.

After downloading the VPN and turning it on, directly go the following URLs instead of making them redirect from a search engine like Torrentz.

And that is it. You can access every torrent file you wish to from here and download them as well. Please don’t post RIP statuses on social media at least now and do not ask stupid questions like ‘What will be our life on internet without torrents?’ Stop creating hype.

Tell everyone that a superhero never dies, at least torrent won’t.

  1. Thanx for this info but I have a dobut and it is that should I always use a vpn or can I go incognito.
Would love to hear back ASAP.

    • VPN basically changed you IP Address and your location so that you are not in the radar of copyright infringement.

Changing to incognito wont change your IP or location. So use VPM
