Samsung Galaxy S Advance and Pocket launched in India

There are two new additions to the galaxy range of smart phones by Samsung. The newbies in the samsung’s Galaxy family are the Galaxy Advance and Galaxy Pocket. Galaxy Advance is the addition to the premium range. Priced at 26,900, the Advance boasts a 1GHz dual core CPU, WVGA Super AMOLED display and a large 4″ curved glass screen, for a bright and clear visual display. the device offers fast booting speed, seamless internet browsing and smooth image processing. It is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and users can access Google Mobile Services and download free apps from the Samsung Apps store, states the press release. This smartphone comes equipped with HSPA 14.4mbps connection speed and BT3.0 and Wi-Fi Direct feature which connect users to other devices through Wi-Fi access points for easy content sharing.

The little sibling of the galaxy family is the Galaxy Pocket. At the thickness of just 11.9mm and weight around 97 grams, it is easy to carry around. Despite the compact size, the device is pretty big at heart. It features a 832 MHz CPU, HSDPA 3.6Mbps with advance Wi-Fi connectivity. It is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and offers 3GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB. It is available for Rs. 8150/-.
