Ek Tha Tiger, the most awaited movie finally released on the Independence Day. It’s a romantic action thriller starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Kabir Khan. It is also Salman’s first film with the company.

Well, you might be expecting a real complicated tiger story from the title of the movie! But, it’s a simple love story with the message of love beyond border. First and last 20 minutes are full of action and thrill. Overall, first half of the movie is somehow stretched. But the second half will take you to the action packed ride. Climax of the movie is awesome! Salman is very good, but Katrina lacks some factors, needed for the character she has played. Whole cast have acted brilliantly. Editing of the movie is also good, but in few scenes, you will easily find out the fakeness. Story lacks originality, but the direction of the movie is excellent! Brilliant direction by Kabir Khan. Also the music and background score of the movie is impressive.

The film leaves a strong message on this Independence day. The film conveys that love goes beyond border, whether it’s India or Pakistan.

The films begins with a mysterious bachelor (Salman Khan) lived in a government employee neighbourhood about whom his neighbours know nothing. It is because he is India’s top spy, an officer with research and analysis wing (RAW), India’s external intelligence agency and called Tiger in his codename. Tiger is sent on a mission to Dublin, Ireland to observe a scientist of Indian origin suspecting of sharing his finding with Pakistan defence establishment. Tiger attempts to meet the scientist but is not successful although he meet with scientist’s caretaker Zoya (Katrina Kaif) who is studying at a fictional dance academy. He tries to befriend Zoya and as he begins to get closer to Zoya. He begins to discover his human side. For the first time in his life, Tiger falls in love. Then begins a journey that Tiger and Zoya embark upon battling the dark world of intelligence and espionage that forbids them from falling in love.

Overall Verdict

Ek Tha Tiger is a definate one time watch, if you love love stories. But, if you are expecting a real tiger story, this is not for you.
