Jab Tak Hai Jaan is a romance film directed by Yash Chopra and written and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film features Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles.

Story of Jab Tak Hai Jaan is not a fresh story. It’s the traditional bollywood love triangle with tadka of daily soap (where characters used to loss their memory in accidents.). Direction of the movie is good, but it could have been better! SRK and Katrina Kaif were average and as usual. Katrina was very good in the first half, but she has not added much in the second half. Anushka Sharma has acted brilliantly! She definitely deserves an applause for her role in JTHJ! First half of the movie is loaded with lots of songs, whereas second half is stretched unnecessarily! Anushka is the charm of movie, she made audience smile and even cry with her acting! Cinematography and locations of the movie are awesome as common in Yash Raj films. Choreography of the songs, especially the song- Jiya Re is astounding. And of course, music of the movie by A.R.Rahman is excellent as usual! We will give three and a half to JTHJ. One for Anushka, one for the music and rests for the cinematography, choreography and direction.

Plot Summary

Samar Anand (Shahrukh Khan) is an army man working with the bomb disposal squad, also known as “the man who cannot die”. A young discovery channel reporter, Akira (Anushka Sharma) is interested in making a documentary on his life and gets a chance encounter upon the reason of Samar’s daredevilry and his love Meera (Katrina Kaif). Samar’s relationship with Meera and Akira, Both encountered 10 years apart forms the crux of this romantic saga directed by late Mr. Yash Chopra in his last movie.

Overall Verdict

It’s a traditional bollywood love triangle with average direction and SRK’s most common role. Katrina is very good in the first half, but she hasn’t added much in the second half. Anushka’s acting and A.R.Rahman’s music has made JTHJthe grand! If you are lover of flow-less love stories, this movie is highly recommended for you. But, if you are not a fan of bollywood love stories, JTHJ is not for you!
