Ahmedabad: India is rapidly moving and shifting on Internet, things are getting online. In such changing time, people must have to upgrade their knowledge with latest technologies to survive in the 21st century. With the same aim, our partner GBG (Google Business Group) Ahmedabad community was formed. GBG is helping common businessmen in getting online. They train local entrepreneurs to get the most out of internet using various Google applications. GBG organizes seminars cum meetups in every month in Ahmedabad to help people understanding online business. After two successful events, GBG organized their third event in Ahmedabad on IT, Entrepreneurship and Social Media, yesterday. And same as first two events, the third event went successful too. The First Half
Mitesh Sanghvi (Manager, GBG Ahmedabad) started the event with introduction of GBG. Amrin Himani, who stood first in India in CA exams conducted this year, was invited to share her experience with the attendees. She truly inspired audience with her story.
Pooja Srinivas (Manager, Product Quality Operations- Google India & Co-Lead for Women on the Web India) started her session on Using Google Web Tools for Collaborating and Communicating with Customers. She presented various Google Apps/ Tools which can be used in day to day life like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google+, etc. Then Tanvi Shah Rangwala (Director – iAccelerator, CIIE) was invited to speak on Understanding Entrepreneurship in IT Sector. She talked about scope of entrepreneurship in IT sector and discussed on various incubation/ acceleration programs going on in India. Then GBG has arranged a delicious lunch for attendees.
The Second Half
The second half was gonna be more interesting as attendees were curious about the speaker Adhir Amdavadi. To engage people post lunch session, Mitesh made attendees do an exercise, which was fun; totally refreshed audience. Watch it in video.
After the exercise, Vaishali Parekh (Director, Krish Consultancy) was invited to speak on Understanding Entrepreneurship in HR Sector. She talked on bright chances of Women Entrepreneurs in HR sector. Her speech and way of interaction with audience was awesome.
After her speech, the most awaited speaker was welcomed on the stage. Prof. Devanshu Pandit (CEPT University) who is formally known as Adhir Amdavadi (Gujarati Humour Columnist, Mumbai Samachar) talked on Understanding Social Media Engagement for Business Success. He told his story, how he created Adhir Amdavadi, a fiction humorist. He taught various tricks to engage your audience on social media. He has worked with many reputed media like Divya Bhaskar, Sandesh and he is working with Mumbai Samachar right now apart from his own consultancy business. He has also been featured on Radio Mirchi and he maintains several Gujarati humorous blogs.
“It was a challenging experience for us to shortlist 100 members out of 200 applicants. But we did it wonderfully. Speakers were amazing and the event was overwhelming for all of us. Now we look forward to conduct various advance level events on AdWords, AdSense, Analytics, Google+ for Business etc. We also have a vision to organize one grand event.” said Mitesh Sanghvi, GBG Manager.
