Pune: Pune witnessed the second season of Mud Rush with Milind Soman and celebrated DJs from the EDM world on the 31st August 2013. The second edition of Mud Rush was an exhilarating mix of high octane races, obstacles, heady music and revellers. 3000 attendees attended the event at the Jadhavghad Fort.
The Mud Rush designed for the adventurous and outgoing, was an all-terrain marathon style run that stretched across a 7 km circuit with 21 challenging obstacles. This international property, brought to India encompassed 30-foot stacks of hay, water bodies, barrier walls, 100 feet stretches of tires, 45 degree hills, fire, ice, and, of course, a whole lot of mud.
The fun did not stop there. After the mud-astic rushes got over the participants let their hair loose and celebrated their accomplishments of the day. The Mud Rush recreational area featured an assortment of cover bands playing great music along with a wide array of food and beverages.
The day was packed with adventure and music. Visitors got a chance to catch Milind Soman in action at event followed by the sundowner’s DJ party with DJs like Clement, Anish Sood, Ajit Pai and SEQU3L.
The Mud Rush associated with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) as their Cause Partner this year. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic progressive incurable disease of the Central Nervous System, in which simplest everyday tasks can no longer be taken for granted.
“The goal of The Mud Rush was not just to test ones endurance and physical stamina, but also to push their mental grit. It was a delight to see that our second season was even bigger and better than the first one and our aim to create an event which was not only audacious but also fun. It has been a great success.” said Jay Goradia, Marketing Director, The Mud Rush.
As the day proceeded, The Mud Rush team had organised a post-event Sun-Downer party at the venue itself with celebrated DJs from the EDM world that showcased their talent and party in the heart of nature. At the end of it, The Mud Rush was designed for fun and not mere competition. What better way to work out, test yourself, party and help a social cause!
