[App Review] Facebook launched new application Paper!

Its been a while since Facebook has produced something unique after not so successful Graph Search. Last Thursday Facebook announced their new standalone application Paper. Leaving behind their legacy UI, they have done fabulous work on the design of the application. Other than that it’s fast! All the previous versions lacked speed.

Yesterday Paper was made available on iOS App Store in US only. Since then it has attracted many users attention. While running app for the first time, there’s a video and after that there are multiple options from which you can choose what you want to see in your application’s root view. Developers have done great work while making the application easy to use. Swipe down to enlarge a story and swipe up to close. There is no ETA for iPad & Android version of it.

Here’s the screenshot of the start up image

The most amazing thing in the app is you won’t have to scroll to see the whole picture. Just move your device according to the position.

Pros and Cons

  • Smooth, Fast & Beautiful UI
  • One of the best from facebook
  • Highly Customizable

  • Might use more data
  • Limited Availability

So it has been a fantastic experience to use something unique, Overall it can replace the current Facebook app or let me rephrase it, it should replace the current Facebook app! Let’s hope it lands in India and other countries soon, 4 out of 5 stars!
