Movie Review: Need For Speed

Cast: Aaron Paul, Scott Mescudi, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Ramón Rodríguez, Michael Keaton

Director: Scott Waugh

Written by: George Gatins, John Gatin

Need For Speed we all have grown up playing the game, we love fast cars, music and the smell of tyres burning. But here it is not based upon the game; but tell you the story of Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul) who lives in New York, handles his father’s garage and races to pay the bank loan. And then comes Dominic Cooper with an offer he can’t refuse, offer to rebuild the Shelby (the car which was made by Ford and Shelby himself). He rebuilds the car and get his dues but as they say, his happiness doesn’t last long as there is one twist in the tail. When you see the Shelby (car) you will fall in love with it instantly as the guy in the movie says “It is a chariot of God.” Don’t go with high hopes in story just enjoy the rush, fast cars and the hard hitting supporting cast who provides the humour and the guy who carries the entire movie Aaron Paul. Dominic Copper could have been used better and Imogen Poots looks stunning and the best part here is the CARS.

What’s Good?

Aaron Paul, Fast cars (Mustang), Imogen Poots, Racing

What’s Bad?

Story lacks conviction; talented actor like Dominic Cooper is wasted

Need for speed provides you the thrill you are looking for and that too very nicely. I am going with 3 out of 5 bits for Scott Waugh’s need for speed. Watch it and drive home safely.
