Summers are known to be hot but lately the temperature has reached to extremities. With every passing year average temperature is escalating quickly and everyone fears it might soon cross 50 degrees. Scorching heat has made everyone uneasy and restless, everyone is waiting crazily for a relief in the form of rains, no actually the season of rains, Monsoon! But to disappointment we keep hearing news like ‘delays in monsoon’, ‘weak monsoons’ etc and there looks like no relief to us, to animals and surroundings from the anger of sun.
Well all these changes are actually alarming to the mankind. We have so harshly harmed our mother nature that it has started showing adverse effects and this time we are at receiving end, we are going to face the consequences of our deeds. Endless cutting of trees on the name of urbanization, smoke releases, chemical releases in water bodies etc from industries is harming air, water, and soil too. Yes we are developing but this development is taking a toll on our mother nature. We are exploiting her for our greed and a time has come that all what we have harmed has started showing its effects in the form of global warming, temperature changes, season-cycle changes, frequent natural disasters etc.
We as an individual should contribute as much as we could by small but meaningful actions like of planting trees and caring for them, by not polluting the water bodies, by not dumping poisonous harmful garbage in soil and few other measures too. The authorities can only form laws, enforcing them, following them is our conscious. Report any violation of environment laws to the concerned authority and contribute in healing and mending our environment. Take an initiative and aware others, lets stand up and make our environment a better place to live.
So, remember the hot unbearable days which just got over and stop cribbing about the water loggings, just enjoy the rains, get drenched in monsoons. Be eco-friendly and have a happy monsoon ahead!
