Movie Review: Singham Returns

Cast: Ajay devgun, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amol Gupte, Anupam Kher, Zakir hussain

Director: Rohit Shetty

Story: Rohit shetty

Right now the only trend which works are sequels and what Rohit Shetty didn’t learn in Singham Returns is that you need new scenes and new dialogues and at least newer locations.

Singham Returns is a fully fledged action film where you will see only fireworks, bullets flying and the background score which can make you deaf, this time Singham is fighting black money with the help of Guruji (Anupam Kher) and as we all know there is evil for every good and here the evil is superbly played by Amole Gupte who plays the role of Baba in day and hippy guy with greed at night and he is supported by the Zakhir Hussain who is planning to win the coming election against the party of Anupam Kher by using black money. Story is so simple that you don’t need to scratch your brain at all because you already know it and nothing new is there.

Singham has become a franchise so a good franchise require bigger stars. So Kareena Kapoor Khan walks in and there is nothing for her; she is there to provide entertainment. So that people watching the movie can clear their ears in between because from the very first scene there are bullets flying everywhere and Daya breaking every door which is there in the film. Some scenes are directly lifted from the first part. The climax has a classic Singham stamp and I knew it would be a little dramatic.

What’s Good?

Action, Cinematography.

What’s Bad?

Kareena Kapoor Khan is wasted, Story could have been better.

Watch Singham Returns if you want to see a good hearted police film but don’t keep your hopes high otherwise you will be disappointed. I am going for 3 bits out of 5 for Singham Returns, I hope your ears get cleared when you come out of the theatre.
