There were a lot of mysteries in the old world. Who created the sun? Where did dead people go? What causes tides? But now we know the answers to most of these questions have been answered and with the internet most people have access to the information.
But there are still a lot of questions that we cannot answer. Besides the regular search of science for the secrets of the universe there are a few questions from the past that have still not been answered.
5. Nazca Geoglyphs
The Nazca civilization made these geoglyphs, drawings on earth, that resemble various creatures and objects. If you fly over the area you can see spiders, monkeys, orcas, sharks and flowers. The mystery behind this human wonder is that these drawings are HUGE! And yet they are very calculated. The Nazcas didn’t have any tools with which they could have observed what they were making. So how did they do it?
4. Zodiac Letters
You’ve probably heard the name the “Zodiac killer”. He was a criminal in the 1960s and 70s near the San Francisco Bay area. He wrote these puzzling letters to the police and the press. Only one of the letters was successfully decoded and the letter contained a very disturbing image. The other letters have never been decoded.
3. Voynich Manuscript
The Voynich manuscript is written in a very strange language. It is so weird that, even centuries after it was discovered, nobody has been able to decode it. The only clues we have are the images found on various pages.
2. The Taos Hum
Taos is a small town in New Mexico, US where a strange buzzing noise is heard coming from somewhere near the horizon. People who have heard it say that the sound resembles that of a running diesel engine. The strange thing about it is that it can only be heard by the naked ear. Equipments cannot seem to capture the sounds. Nobody knows where the sounds come from.
1. SS Ourang Medan
SS Ourand Medan was the ship who’s crew was mysteriously murdered by something. The incident happened in Malaysia. The events started with an SOS message in 1947 that said the crew along with the captain is dead. The man who was transmitting also died while sending the telegraph. The Silver Star rushed to the ship as soon as it received the distress call. They inspected the ship and confirmed that the whole crew was dead. Nobody knows what killed them. There are a lot of speculations that it might be aliens or a poison gas or even ghosts but nothing can be said with surety.
