How many times have you heard somebody say ‘oh, but I didn’t have a choice – nobody would have listened to me anyway’ – and so they simply went along with the flow in the boardroom or at the pointy end of a transaction?
How many times have you thought this yourself when it came to a big decision? ‘I didn’t really have a choice’.
The truth is, we all have a choice!
The popular saying, “be the change you seek”, has become more relevant to us as people more than ever before.
In these years millions of adolescents face the prospect of early marriage, early childbearing, incomplete education and the threat of HIV and AIDS.
We do know about his, we hear it everywhere But what do we do about it?
We strongly believe that the youth generation has the incredible potential of impacting the nations and create a mass spiritual revolution!
So why don’t we speak up make a choice and act.
We have often heard that our youth will be the leaders of our next generation, but when we observe the business and Media world we see that the most innovative and revolutionary discoveries come from young people!
In fact let me tell you it’s the young people with a voice which created such an impact. The United Nations have made 17 sustainable goals to create a better tomorrow but to create something tomorrow you need to start today and the first step is to speak and act. We fail to grasp the beauty of our voice, how much few words can change lives is something we have always underestimated.
Imagine a place where you get to speak up imagine when you finally get a voice to make an impact, the first step to speak is to listen, to get empowered, Till you aren’t impacted by the great minds living in the world then you will still hold the numb conversations you have and lack the words and the mindset and the impact needed to bring about a change
So AIESEC present you Youth Speak Forum a global youth movement, , to help identify the challenges and hopes of young people while bridging the gap between potential and impact. This project gives young people the space to voice your opinions on key challenges, hopes and ambitions. It will let them share their passion with the whole world and help them learn how they can get engaged with the issues that matter to them the most, in order to generate positive impact in their lives and the life of people around them.
“Some people believe that there’s nothing one man or woman can do against the enormous array of the world’s ills…against misery, against ignorance, or injustice and violence. Yet, many of the world’s greatest movements, of thoughts and actions, have flowed from the work of a single person.”
And that single person could be you!
Make a choice-Speak up.
