The Conjuring series is one of the most anticipated series. And those who love horror flicks were waiting for months to watch second installment in The Conjuring series, including me. And today I got a chance to watch The Conjuring 2.
The Conjuring 2 is based on a true story. The film is set in 1977 in Enfield, London. Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to England to help Hodgson family. The family is experiencing paranormal activity at their house in Enfield.
The mother believes that there’s existence of paranormal activities in her house. Her youngest daughter Janet is possessed by demons. The movie revolves around how Warrens help Hodgson family and found themselves targeted by the spirits.
Now coming to the review, some of the scenes in the movie will definitely scare the hell out of you. We generally don’t fall for such scenes as the scene is developed in a way that we always see that coming. But in The Conjuring 2, you will not see that coming. Few scenes in the movie will definitely send shivers down your spine. We cannot actually compare it with the first part, but overall, I felt The Conjuring 2 is definitely better that the first part.
Story of the film is pretty common. Nothing new. But the execution, direction, cinematography of the movie is done brilliantly! I’m already planning to watch it again.
Verdict
Story is not new. But the way it is executed deserves applause. If you love horror flicks, this is the one movie that you should not miss at any cost. You’ll love The Conjuring 2. And even if you don’t like horror movies, give it a watch. Overall The Conjuring 2 is highly recommended from BuddyBits.
