Bhai. The epitome of the bad boy image in India. The Salman The Khan. There’s always a debate who’s better- Salman or Shahrukh? This will never end because both of them have their own niches. Until this continues, we have a plus one for all the Bhai Fans to use in the debate. Here are 10 Movies where Salman Bhai actually acted.
1. Tere Naam
This movie created the biggest wave of craze, pre-release. Every other kid wanted to be Salman Khan and they did! All of them got the infamous Tere Naam Hairstyle. Center Partition was the way they showed their love towards their Bhai. Post-Fight, Salman Khan gets transferred to a Mental Rehabilitation Center. That’s where his acting talent was visible. He played it so well that everybody leaving the theaters were left emotional.
This movie was all kind of hype, sadly it did not work out. Salman Khan’s acting was pretty good but the plot of the movie was quite faulty. He plays a man-child with an undying hope of return of his brother from war. Trust me, you won’t be able to hold yourself back when he gets emotional on-screen.
“Re Sultan, Kar de Chadhai!” This is where he plays an underdog wrestler, awaiting his comeback for a noble purpose and stand out victorious. It was a roaring success on the Box-Office. He pulled the Haryanvi accent pretty well and did full justice to his character.
4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan
He plays the role of an Indian man, named Pawan Kumar Chatturvedi, with a magnanimous heart who takes a young mute Pakistani girl back to her homeland to reunite her with her family. This movie resided a place in our hearts due to Munni and Salman’s love for her.
5. Hum Saath Saath Hain
Before Sallu turned the bad boy of Bollywood, he was the innocent Prem every household loved. And this image was probably due to this movie where he plays the shy young brother of the family. Ramkishen and Mamta have three sons Vivek , Prem and Vinod and a daughter Sangeeta. This family is part of a joint family whose close knit bond is challenged by a misunderstanding.
6. Andaz Apna Apna
The film didn’t do well at box-office, it recovered its cost mainly due to business from big cities, but didn’t turn out to be a massive hit contrary to everyone’s expectations. The film had a lot of “Aila’s” and “Ouima’s” from Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Both of them acted too well.
The plot is such that an honest and decorated police officer is arrested on charges of mass murder and trapped in a corrupt political system, where he finds himself sinking in deep trouble. He played cop amazingly well. Storyline was classic, so was his acting. Especially the zoom-in shots of him drawing a cross mid-air.
8. Kyon Ki
After learning the sad truth about a patient, a female psychiatrist falls in love with him. That’s the plot of the film. He pulls off the character of a mental patient really well. This is a must watch.
9. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Nandini has to choose between Sameer, the man who taught her to fall in love; and Vanraj, the man from whom she learnt how to abide and fulfill promises of love. Salman probably didn’t even act in this film as he already was in a relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
10. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Though he was cast as a supporting actor, He was amazing in it. He played an amazing lover with ha huge heart.During their college years, Anjali was in love with her best-friend Rahul, but he had eyes only for Tina.
