A guy on Quora just notified the world about the hideousness of Whatsapp and Facebook. On being asked
What is something that needs to be said?
He exposed the social media platforms.
Whatsapp is the leader in the messaging world and it now has End-to-End Encryption which looks something like this. The encryption policy states that no third person is allowed to access the data.
It might not entirely be true. According to him, he was talking to a friend on Whatsapp regarding phone covers and the next day, Phone cover ads started popping up on Facebook.
1 Day later, The covers were right there.
The Exact same thing happened with Holiday Plans. A holiday destination was casually brought in the chatbox which swooped up on his Facebook Feed the next day.
Somehow Dubai found it’s way on his feed.
And the encryption story doesn’t just end there. The, exact, same thing happened with Google as well.
He was surfing the internet about a video game and Bam! The cycle Repeats!
Basically, all of the proof states that Facebook monitors all of your device’s activity and then shows you ads according to that.
According to him, Whatsapp is conning us into feeling secure while stealing data from us, while hiding in bright daylight.
WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption is available when you and the people you message use the latest versions of our app. Many messaging apps only encrypt messages between you and them, but WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption ensures only you and the person you’re communicating with can read what is sent, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp.
The Highlighted text clearly states that the information cannot be accessed by anybody else. Yet, Facebook has magical algorithms to hack Whatsapp servers and take out data and broadcast it in the form of ads. Co-Incidence?
