Now that we have avocados available in abundance in India, we must know how to make the best of the creamy fruit. Read on to get your daily dose of Avocados just right.

1. Desi Avocado pizza

Toast up a roti, top it with eggs (we prefer fried eggs), mashed avocado, tomatoes and a dash of lime. This is quick and it tastes just perfect.

2. Kiwi & Avocado smoothie

This green smoothie combines two superfoods – Avocado and Kiwi. Add some lime and honey and blend all of it together with a little amount of milk and ice cubes. This smoothie is loaded with Vitamin C, E and fiber.

3. Just egg white and avocado toast

Top your toast with boiled egg white, avocado, and shredded cheese. Sprinkle it with chili flakes and avocado.

4. Melon and Avocado salad

Not only nutritious and delicious, this salad also looks beautiful. Cut chunks of watermelon, avocado, some radish and top with chopped green onions (only the green part). This makes a great nutrient packed lunch or a side dish.

5. Cold avocado soup

This is a great summer soup. You will need green peas, avocado, cucumber, mint leaves and a bit of lime juice + tahini. Put all the ingredients in a mixer and turn it on. Enjoy it with some cracker biscuits.

6. Avocado Shiitake mushroom spring rolls

Instead of the regular spring rolls stuffing, stuff your home-made spring rolls with avocado, rice noodles, cashews, shiitake mushrooms, and bell pepper. These ingredients go extremely well together. Tip: toss all the ingredients other than avocado in a light chili garlic oil, some extra chilies and garlic, salt and pepper. Add cooked chicken or shrimp to make it extra filling.

7. Grilled chicken sandwich

Did you know mashed avocado is a great substitute for mayonnaise or cheese because of its rich creaminess. Toast the bread before hand and keep the ingredients ready. Spread the mashed avocado on two inner sides of the toast, top one with mango cubes (not a lot), grilled chicken, onions, bell peppers and a bit of mustard sauce. Make it a sandwich and you are done with your evening snack.

8. Creamy Avocado Rice

The famous spicy rajma curry tastes heavenly with creamy avocado rice. Mix your rice (to be had along with Rajma) with mashed avocado in the proportion you desire and top it with coriander leaves and lime.

9. Avocado Caesar Dressing

Caesar salad is easy to make but the mayo in it kills the healthy snack purpose. Replace the may with mashed avocado. Add a little red wine, lemon, roasted garlic, and olive oil to go with the grilled chicken and lettuce. This is a hit for soup and salad combinations too. Tip: put it on the salad bar with a spicy soup.

10. Another green juice

Blend the avocado, lime juice, water, cucumber, spinach, celery, and a little bit of ginger until smooth. Set it in the freezer only to chill and have before lunch.

11. Baked sweet potato

This is the best combination for a hearty meal. Rub the sweet potatoes with oil and salt. Bake it for 40 minutes or more until brown. Split the potatoes lengthwise and drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Add avocado slices, roasted peanuts, and chopped coriander leaves. Tip: you can cheese if you wish.

12. Top your nachos with Avocado

Try the regular nachos with salsa and supremely mashed creamy avocados instead of sour cream.

13. Greek toast

Toast any kind of bread. While it is toasting, remove avocado halves from skin and instantly mix it with a bit of lime juice, salt and pepper. Spread it on the toast to top with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, olives, feta cheese and sprinkle some oregano leaves.

14. Guacamole dip

No Avocado recipes list can end without this. This is the faveeee and to go dip for everyone who loves or doesn’t know much about avocado. Easy to make – avocados, onions, tomatoes, Jalapeño (or green chilies), rock salt, pepper, and lime juice. Using the back of a fork, lightly mix and smash everything together.

15. Guacamole sandwich

This is as easy as it reads. Spread the Guacamole on a bread. Make sure not to add too much lime to it. Dip it in a hot tomato sauce and enjoy!
