India’s #MeToo campaign has picked up the speed. More and more women are coming forward with harassment stories outing some of the big names of the media and entertainment industry. Singer Kailash Kher, AIB partner Gursimran Khamba and former employee Utsav Chakraborty, Queen director Vikas Bahl, actor Alok Nath, model Zulfi Syed are some of the big names that have come out.
Latest name to come up is of Sacred Games writer and standup comedian Varun Grover.
A Twitter user Rashi has tweeted two screenshots, which are messages from a girl who was junior to Varun Grover in BHU in 2001.

Entire incident as described by the girl
Varun Grover has categorically denied the allegations through series of Tweets and official statement.
Here is what he said,
I completely, totally, categorically deny all the allegations being made. The screenshot in question is untrue, misleading, and defamatory to say the least. Issuing a detailed statement soon.
This followed by an official statement from the writer.
Sacred Games director and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also defended Varun Grover and said,
This man I have known so closely and so so long that I refuse to believe any allegations about him . #believethevictim and investigate the claims and also be careful to not let vested interests sabotage a long pending genuine movement.
